It’s starting to get dark earlier and the temperatures have dropped–which can only mean one thing -the Fall season is approaching. In fact, it officially begins this week. I don’t know about you, but for me it feels like the year has gone so fast. I was talking to someone about this recently. We were saying how when you’re busy and being productive time really does seem to fly by. It’s only when we’re not making the most of our time, it seems to go on forever. I’ve mentioned in previous blogs that I’m in school. It’s a year- long program and just last week I hit the mid-year mark. I cannot believe I’m half way through the program already. It seems like I just started. Now that I’m half way through I’m feeling anxiety about what’s next. This is the time to start preparing myself to transition out of school and fully operate in my profession. I’m looking forward to it, but my success depends on the choices I’m making right now. Barely a week ago I was concerned that I wasn’t feeling as motivated as I need to be, and just the realization of where I am and how much needs to get done before graduation has sparked a new found motivation for me. I feel a sense of urgency and an awakening that I haven’t felt in a while. This is why they say when you set a goal you have to indicate what is at stake if you don’t reach that goal. Determining what ‘s at stake will serve as motivation when it gets tough or you feel like giving up. I am reminded of why I’m doing this and it goes so far beyond me gaining this knowledge to improve my quality of life and well-being only. I want to impact my family, my community, and ultimately generations to come! With obesity rates and diabetes rates at epidemic proportions in this country the work I do is needed now more than ever. So, as we enter the final quarter of this year, I’ve received the fresh wind I need to finish strong. I am feeling renewed and revived. The clock is ticking for us all…how will you finish? Have you taken inventory of where you are and where you stand in accomplishing the goals you set for yourself back in January? No matter what your answer is, just remember, it’s not too late! Until next time… Peace, Love & Fitness ]]>
