As I have been working hard the past couple of months to launch Plant Food ROCKS, I’ve had my share of ups and downs. I’ve experienced every emotion known to man. One minute I’m really excited about a new idea. The next minute I’m anxious and afraid questioning whether or not this will work. Will my business be successful?

Obviously, I managed to get through the actual launch, but now that I’m in it, I have to constantly remind myself why I began this endeavor. The past week was really rough and I had to constantly convince myself to stay in it. Then I stumbled upon a quote that I wrote down a few months ago.

That quote really stopped me in my tracks and made me think. It came to me at the exact time that I needed it. Anybody who really knows me will tell you that I’m always going after the next big thing. I’m never satisfied with the status quo. It’s not that I’m not content with my life, it’s just I believe I was put on this planet to do more. That’s what drives me every day. I’m always trying to exceed my last great thing.

I believe with all my heart that we were each put on this earth for a reason. I actually know this to be true because the bible tells me so. Jeremiah 29:11 says “I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper you and not harm you; plans to give you hope and a future.” I believe in God so I believe in his word.

When I look at the statistics on health care costs, childhood obesity, cancer and diabetes I get really overwhelmed. I sometimes wonder if what I’m doing will make a difference. Then that little still voice inside me answers with a resounding YES! I know that if I can impact just one life; if I can help just one person look at their health a little differently, then I’ve done something remarkable. I may not get everybody to change, but that doesn’t stop me from trying to make an impact wherever I can.

What’s the point of being alive if you’re not going to at least TRY to do something remarkable? Just because you can’t sing and dance like Beyonce or paint like Picasso doesn’t mean you don’t have something to offer the world. We all have gifts and talents that somebody else needs. EVERYBODY can do something great! You haven’t fulfilled your purpose yet. This life you’re living isn’t all there is. You know how I know? Because you’re still breathing! As long as you are here on this earth you have the opportunity to do something remarkable.

Here’s why it’s worth the effort:

1. You have nothing to lose. At the very least if you aren’t able to accomplish something remarkable you go back to your current life. It’s familiar to you, even if it’s “uncomfortably familiar”. It may not be the life you want for yourself, but you know what to expect.

2. At the very best, you accomplish something GREAT! You make a difference in the world and your life becomes more than you ever dreamed.

So, I really want you to look at your life and think about one thing you can do to try to be remarkable. If you’re stricken with illness, have no money, have few friends or family, it doesn’t matter. Somebody needs to hear your story. There is at least one person out there who needs to hear from you. Somebody needs you to push pass your comfort zone and do something remarkable.

Question: What can you try to do that is remarkable? How can you make a difference? Please leave a comment.

A call to action- I am up for the challenge! Currently, my goal is to consistently share with others how food and lifestyle impact our health and wellness. I would love to do this through workshops, classes, posts, etc. Like you stated, if I can help just one person, I will feel remarkable!
