One of the most common questions posed to vegans -after “Where do you get your protein?” – is “What do you eat?”
Well, believe it or not, there are tons of options, and if you follow a strict plant based diet, you still have lots to choose from. Since most of us don’t have time to cook, or better yet create new recipes, I want to offer some help with that. When I get bored with my meals I look to the experts. There are tons of blogs out there devoted to sharing vegan menu options. Here are a few of my favorites:
The Simple Veganista – this blog focuses on providing healthy vegan meal options. She provides simple recipes with beautiful pictures that guide you step by step.
Oh She Glows - this blog focuses on healthy vegan recipes, many of which are free of gluten, soy, and processed foods.
PETA - the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals offers tons of resources on its site for people transitioning to vegan and vegetarian diets.They offer recipes for every meal and for any occasion. They even offer a link to vegan friendly restaurants all across the country.
Veg News Magazine- this is the online version of the magazine that focuses on all things vegan. It offers great articles, simple recipes, and even has starter kits to assist you with the transition.
