When you think of what a traditional coach does there are a few things that come to mind. A coach is a teacher, a mentor, a role model, sometimes a friend and confidant. Most importantly, a coach is a positive influence. A positive coach encourages players to develop internal motivation with minimal reliance on external punishment and rewards. He listens to and seeks information from his players to learn to better tap into their internal motivation. Well, I see my role as a Health Coach no differently.
Health Coaches are knowledgeable advisors who provide ongoing support and guidance as you set goals and make sustainable changes that improve your health and happiness. As your Health Coach, I will listen carefully and help you to navigate the world of contradictory nutrition advice to determine what changes are necessary for you. Your personalized program will radically improve your health and happiness. Together, we will explore concerns specific to you and your body and discover the tools you need for a lifetime of balance.
Specialized Services: I teach people simple ways to prevent and overcome major health issues by incorporating more plant based foods into their diet.
The tough love I received was the best part of working with Latrina. She was focused on my success & would not allow me to hide behind excuses. This made me focus & put in the work. I am now more active. I started walking & have signed up for yoga class. I am eating with intention – I choose fruit instead of chips, and I take ownership of my health & food choices.
I participated in the group coaching program. I feel that I am part of a family of women who share a common goal of having a healthier lifestyle. I have “sisters” that I can call on for encouragement & support. —Pam Angry, Americus, GA
During this program, I also made the connection between a condition that I considered to be a “normal part” of my life and my eating patterns. Once I admitted that I didn’t have the answers and reached out to Ms. Patrick, she offered suggestions that lead to me developing a clearer picture of my true body and more energy to begin making the changes necessary to create the life that I want.
After hearing that our primary foods (career, home life, spirituality, relationships, etc.) impact our secondary foods (what we eat), I have started to evaluate other aspects of my life in order to create more balance. It’s not just about weight for me, it’s about finding my happy.
I wholeheartedly believe that the three weeks that I spent doing this program have helped launch my journey to a healthier, happier me. I am determined to begin the 37th chapter of my life in a better condition than I spent the majority of my 36th. Thank you Latrina for reminding me that THIS does not have to be my life! —Tamika Sanders-Jonas, Savannah, GA
